BNV : যিহূদার রাজা যিহোশাফট অক্ষত অবস্থায় জেরুশালেমে তাঁর বাড়িতে ফিরে এলেন|
KJV : And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
YLT : And Jehoshaphat king of Judah turneth back unto his house in peace to Jerusalem,
RV : And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.

BNV : ভাব্বাদী হনানির পুত্র যেহূ য়িহোশাফটের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন| তিনি যিহোশাফটকে বললেন, “আপনি কেন যেসব ব্যক্তিরা প্রভুকে ঘৃণা করেন সেই সমস্ত অসত্‌ ব্যক্তিদের সাহায্য করেছেন? এ কারণেই প্রভু আপনার ওপর রুদ্ধ হয়েছেন|
KJV : And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
YLT : and go out unto his presence doth Jehu son of Hanani, the seer, and saith unto king Jehoshaphat, `To give help to the wicked, and to those hating Jehovah, dost thou love? and for this against thee [is] wrath from before Jehovah,
RV : And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate the LORD? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before the LORD.
RSV : But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the LORD.

ESV : But Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him and said to King Jehoshaphat, "Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the LORD? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the LORD.
ERVEN : Jehu the seer went out to meet him. Jehu's father's name was Hanani. Jehu said to King Jehoshaphat, "Did you just help wicked people? Do you love those who hate the Lord? The Lord is angry with you now.

BNV : তা সত্ত্বেও আপনার মধ্যে এখনও ভাল কিছু আছে যেহেতু আপনি সর্বান্তঃকরণে ঈশ্বরকে খুঁজতে দৃঢ়সংকল্প করেছেন এবং এদেশ থেকে আশেরার খুঁটিগুলোও সরিয়ে দিয়েছেন|”
KJV : Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast taken away the groves out of the land, and hast prepared thine heart to seek God.
YLT : but good things have been found with thee, for thou hast put away the shrines out of the land, and hast prepared thy heart to seek God.`
RV : Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thine heart to seek God.

ERVEN : Fortunately, you did some good things in your life. You did remove the Asherah poles from this country, and you did decide to ask God for his advice."

BNV : জেরুশালেমে থাকাকালীন যিহোশাফট আবার বের্-শেবা থেকে পার্বত্য দেশ ইফ্রয়িম পর্য়ন্ত লোকদের সঙ্গে মিশলেন এবং তাদের প্রভুর কাছে, তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের ঈশ্বরের কাছে ফিরিযে আনলেন|
KJV : And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again through the people from Beer-sheba to mount Ephraim, and brought them back unto the LORD God of their fathers.
YLT : And Jehoshaphat dwelleth in Jerusalem, and he turneth back and goeth out among the people from Beer-Sheba unto the hill-country of Ephraim, and bringeth them back unto Jehovah, God of their fathers.

ESV : Jehoshaphat lived at Jerusalem. And he went out again among the people, from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim, and brought them back to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
ERVEN : Jehoshaphat lived in Jerusalem, but he would go out among the people throughout Judah, from Beersheba to the hill country of Ephraim. He helped the people turn back to the Lord, the God who their ancestors worshiped.

BNV : যিহোশাফট যিহূদার প্রত্যেকটা দুর্গের জন্য আলাদা আলাদা বিচারক নির্বাচন করে তাঁদের বলেছিলেন,
KJV : And he set judges in the land throughout all the fenced cities of Judah, city by city,

BNV : “আপনারা অত্যন্ত সতর্কভাবে নিজেদের কাজ করবেন| কারণ আপনারা যে বিচার করবেন তা কোনো ব্যক্তির জন্য নয়, বয়ং প্রভুর হয়ে আপনারা আপনাদের সিদ্ধান্তগুলি লোকদের দেবেন| আর আমি নিশ্চিত, যখন আপনারা কোন সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন প্রভু বয়ং আপনাদের সহায় হবেন|
KJV : And said to the judges, Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.
YLT : and saith unto the judges, `See what ye are doing -- for not for man do ye judge, but for Jehovah, who [is] with you in the matter of judgment;

ERVEN : He told the judges, "Be careful in what you are doing, because you are not judging for people, but for the Lord. The Lord will be with you when you make decisions.

BNV : প্রভু কিন্তু নিরপেক্ষ তাঁর চোখে সকলেই সমান| ঘুষ দিয়ে তাঁর বিচার বদলানো যায় না| আপনারা সকলে এ কথা মাথায় রেখে, প্রভুর শক্তি ও রোধর কথা স্মরণ করে নিজেদের কাজ করবেন|”
KJV : Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do [it:] for [there is] no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
YLT : and now, let fear of Jehovah be upon you, observe and do, for there is not with Jehovah our God perverseness, and acceptance of faces, and taking of a bribe.`
RV : Now therefore let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

ESV : Now then, let the fear of the LORD be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the LORD our God, or partiality or taking bribes."
ERVEN : You must fear the Lord. Protect justice and do what is right because the Lord our God is fair. He does not treat some people as if they are more important than others, and he does not accept bribes to change his judgments."

BNV : জেরুশালেমে বিচারক হিসেবে কাজ করার জন্য যিহোশাফট কযেকজন লেবীয়, কিছু যাজক ও ইস্রায়েলের পরিবারগোষ্ঠী নেতাদের বেছে নিয়েছিলেন| এদের ওপর দায়িত্ব ছিল প্রভুর বিধি নির্দেশ মেনে জেরুশালেমের বাসিন্দাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনের সমস্যার প্রতিবিধান করা|
KJV : Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and [of] the priests, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem.
YLT : And also in Jerusalem hath Jehoshaphat appointed of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the heads of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of Jehovah, and for strife; and they turn back to Jerusalem,

ERVEN : In Jerusalem, Jehoshaphat chose some of the Levites, priests, and heads of the families of Israel to be judges. These men lived in Jerusalem and used the law of the Lord to settle problems among the people.

BNV : যিহোশাফট এদের বলেছিলেন, “প্রভুর ভয়ে তোমাদের কর্ত্তব্য়ে তোমাদের একনিষ্ঠ হতে হবে, সমস্ত হৃদয় দিয়ে তা করতে হবে|
KJV : And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of the LORD, faithfully, and with a perfect heart.
YLT : and he layeth a charge upon them, saying, `Thus do ye do in the fear of Jehovah, in faithfulness, and with a perfect heart,

ERVEN : Jehoshaphat commanded them, "You must serve faithfully with all your heart. You must fear the Lord.

BNV : তোমাদের বিভিন্ন ধরণের মামলা যেমন খুন-জখম, জুযাচুরি, আইন, বিধি-নির্দেশ অমান্য করার সন্মুখীন হতে হবে| আর এসব মামলা আসবে এই সব শহরে বসবাসকারী তোমাদেরই সহ নাগরিকদের মধ্যে থেকে| তোমরা সবসমযেই লোকদের প্রভুর বিরুদ্ধে পাপাচরণ করার বিষযে সতর্ক করে দেবে| তোমরা যদি নিজেদের কর্তব্য়ের ব্যাপারে নিষ্ঠাবান না হও তাহলে প্রভুর রোধ তোমাদের এবং তোমাদের সহ নাগরিকদের ওপর গিয়ে পড়বে| কিন্তু যা বললাম তা যদি তোমরা করো তাহলে ভয়ের কোনো কারণ নেই|
KJV : And what cause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even warn them that they trespass not against the LORD, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
YLT : and any strife that cometh in unto you of your brethren who are dwelling in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and command, statutes, and judgments, then ye have warned them and they become not guilty before Jehovah, and wrath hath not been on you and on your brethren; thus do ye do, and ye are not guilty.
RV : And whensoever any controversy shall come to you from your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall warn them, that they be not guilty towards the LORD, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not be guilty.

ERVEN : People from cities around the country will bring their problems to you. You will listen to cases where people have broken a law or a command or maybe killed someone. In all of these cases you must warn the people not to sin against the Lord. You must do this so that the Lord will not become angry and punish you and the people.

BNV : সর্বোচচ পদস্থ যাজক অমরিয ধর্ম ও প্রভু সংএান্ত যাবতীয় মামলা নিষ্পত্তির সমযে তোমাদের সাহায্য করবেন| রাজার বিষযে মামলার কাজকর্মে তোমরা ইশ্ামাযেলের পুত্র, যিহূদা পরিবারগোষ্ঠীর অন্যতম নেতা, সবদিয়র কাছ থেকে সাহায্য পাবে| লেবীয়রা লেখকের কাজ করবে| সাহসে ভর করে, নিজেদের ওপর আস্থা রেখে তোমরা তোমাদের কাজ করো| প্রার্থনা করি, প্রভু যেন ন্যাযের পক্ষে থাকেন|”
KJV : And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of the LORD; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, for all the king’s matters: also the Levites [shall be] officers before you. Deal courageously, and the LORD shall be with the good.
YLT : `And, lo, Amariah the head priest [is] over you for every matter of Jehovah, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the house of Judah, [is] for every matter of the king, and officers the Levites [are] before you; be strong and do, and Jehovah is with the good.`

ERVEN : "Amariah is the high priest, so he will make the final decision about the people's responsibilities to the Lord. Zebadiah son of Ishmael is the leader of the tribe of Judah, so he will make the final decision about the people's responsibilities to the king. The Levites will serve as scribes for you. Be brave and do what is right! May the Lord be with those of you who are good judges."
